Happy International Women’s Day

Happy International Women’s Day

8 March is International Women’s Day and we want to celebrate all the women who turn the wheels on the billion-rand machine that is the taxi industry.

From Taxipreneurs like Victoria Soana Maluleke who Drive Our Nation Forward by buying Quality Renewed Taxis; creating jobs, feeding her family and ensuring that thousands of South Africans get to work and provide for their families.

To women like Magogo who has taken the safety and wellbeing of taxi users into her own hands by repairing taxis with her daughter, Joyce. Magogo actually keeps the wheels of the industry turning and has gifted her skills to her daughter, ensuring that many generations of her family will continue to Drive Our Nation Forward.

And of course, we can never forget the thousands of women who wake up bright and early to sell food and fruits at the taxi ranks. The ones who make sure you don’t miss the most important meal of the day, or any other meal! Omama are the real fuel of the industry – keeping Taxipreneurs fed and fully ready to take on the task of Driving Our Nation Forward!

Happy International Women’s Day to them, and every woman.
