Road Safety Awareness Campaign

Road Safety Awareness Campaign

SA Taxi Foundation has partnered with Educate Africa to deliver interactive Road Safety presentations to selected schools over a period of one week during Transport Month (October 2014).

In South Africa, pedestrian injury is the leading cause of death in children up to the age of 15 years old – with a marked concentration of incidents in the age group 5-9 years old.

Road Safety Education is seen as a first line of defence against this endemic truth. During the Road Safety Week – 10 000 children received Road Safety Awareness training.
